Meeting Notes – Project Planning
The team discussed the upcoming quarter's focus on member engagement. Sarah from analytics presented the preliminary data from the last survey cycle. It seems the feedback on seasonal product availability was particularly strong. John suggested we follow up with a more detailed questionnaire on that topic before the fall rollout.
We then moved to the topic of internal communications. The new format for the weekly memo seems to be working well. Everyone agreed that shorter, more focused updates are better. We should continue to highlight one key initiative per department instead of listing every minor update. Mike from logistics mentioned the shipping delay reports are now being consolidated, which saves everyone time during the review.
Lunch today was from the new salad place downtown. The consensus was that the Cobb salad is excellent, but the line is too long. Perhaps we should order ahead as a group next time. Karen said she tried making a similar salad at home with a recipe she found online. It involved a honey mustard dressing with a touch of dill. She brought some in for us to try last week, and it was quite good. I must remember to ask her for that recipe.
Back to the agenda, the budget review for the community outreach program is scheduled for next Thursday. Please have your departmental figures ready by Wednesday EOD. The goal is to finalize allocations before the board meeting on the 28th. Let's also prepare a one-page summary of last year's impact metrics. The literacy initiative numbers were very positive, and we should lead with that.
On a personal note, I need to remember to water the office plants more consistently. The fern by the window is looking a bit dry. Maybe we should set a rotating schedule. It’s funny how such a small thing can brighten up the whole space. I read an article about how greenery in the workplace can improve focus. Perhaps we can discuss a small budget for a few more low-maintenance plants next quarter.
The final point was about the annual team offsite. The preference seems to be for a location with good walking trails and reliable Wi-Fi. The lakeside lodge from two years ago is a strong contender again. We'll put it to a vote next week. Please think about potential dates that work for your teams. Okay, that wraps it up for today. Let's all aim to have the draft reports finished by Friday.
