the Ubuntu-24 bundled package "firefox" is a snap package now; so if you attempt to install plain "firefox", it will also install "snapd" package; this one in turn depends on "apparmor" package so that will also get installed.
But doing so inside an LXC container breaks the whole shebang, because "apparmor" seems to be lacking a lot of rules for LXC containers. So when you try to install "snapd", you get the following errors:
apparmor_parser: Unable to replace "mount-namespace-capture-helper". apparmor_parser: Access denied. You need policy admin privileges to manage profiles.
apparmor_parser: Unable to replace "/usr/lib/snapd/snap-confine". apparmor_parser: Access denied. You need policy admin privileges to manage profiles.
