Thanks Wayne. I think the confusing part in this ticket is that there
must have been multiple regressions in terms of CPU over time and I
think we are also mixing X and Wayland (in case that matters). Certainly
I also saw a big slowdown between TB 91 and 102.
In any case, with regards to my specific problem (mouse hover lagging behind in Supernova) I narrowed it down to:

Visually the GUI changed drastically between these two builds (colors, icons, etc.) so I assume this is the massive "ash" code landing you mentioned?
