In case anyone else comes across this, the recommendation from the
Thunderbird developers is to downgrade:

e.g. sudo apt-get install thunderbird=1:102.4.2+build2-0ubuntu0.22.04.1


With 1:102.7.1+build1-0ubuntu0.22.04.1~mt1 I had different line numbers in the error:

JavaScript error: resource:///modules/OAuth2.jsm, line 170:
NS_ERROR_NOT_IMPLEMENTED: Component returned failure code: 0x80004001
(NS_ERROR_NOT_IMPLEMENTED) [nsIRequest.name]
