[Bug 1993565] [NEW] Mailto: URL feature brings up empty Thunderbird window

Public bug reported:

When clicking on a mailto: link in Brave or Chrome, xdg-open correctly
tries to open a "write" window in Thunderbird. However, the window
remains empty and does not receive the subject or body information. This
is true for both Xorg and Wayland. The feature seems to work OK from
Firefox, but that browser is far too slow for regular use.
Interestingly, if Thunderbird is already running when the mailto:
feature is used, the write window comes up correctly. So the problem
could be in the Chrome engine, or xdg-open, or Thunderbird.
