The bug reporter hasn't responded in over six weeks and the bug
report won't expire due to the bug watch

Further to comments #3 and #4 I'm closing this as being fixed.

@pnck, if this is still an issue then please comment here. As the
bug reporter you should be able to revert the status of the bug
report back to 'New'. Any comments will be seen by the relevant
members of the Ubuntu Desktop team who will advise further.
