IIRC KMail is able to delete attachments from signed e-mails; probably there are other clients which also have this functionality.
Thanks for the tip! When having a lot of folders, however, it takes
quite a bit of time to go through them all. Deleting the attachments as
they come would be for sure a more practical solution for the future.
