Confirmed, this is affecting firefox only on trusty.
The Flash plugin works as expected on xenial, bionic, cosmic, disco.
wl_surface_interface is a Wayland symbol.
As stated in comment #1, Ubuntu 14.04 is approaching end of life, which
makes the priority of this bug and its likeliness to be fixed low.
