[Bug 1798090] Re: Xenial update of thunderbird seems to have broken lightning/gdata provider

I believe I have the same problem: an Ubuntu upgrade has caused the
Ubuntu-installed gdata provider to not be visible in the Thunderbird
addons list. This results in all of my google calendars being greyed out
in the Thunderbird calendar pane.

xul-ext-gdata-provider's description states that it is a "transitional
package", and it is not listed on the ubuntu package repository webpage.
I am using the xul-ext-lightning package to enable the Calendar pane in
Thunderbird.

Installing "Provider for Google Calendar" from the Thunderbird addons
menu has restored my ability to access my calendars.
