[Bug 1808713] [NEW] mouse freezes in the center of the screen and system hangs

Public bug reported:

mouse freezes in the center of the screen and system hangs. It is
impossible to move the mouse in a coordinated way, it moves, but for
example then moving over the hidden link (some preview window of an item
or smf similar), then it tries to open it without the actual click by
user - the windows are opened just by moving over it and in the end
nothing works - the computer has to be shut down from the power button.
I have tried to reinstall, I had 18.10, now 18.04 - situation is still
the same. The bug seems to be appearing randomly, maybe a bit more often
while using Facebook.
