same on my imac: this url will eat up a whole lot of memory:
https://elements.polymer-project.org/guides/flex-layout

The only viable option is then to force quit firefox and restart it
later, and close the tab containing the https://elements.polymer-
project.org/guides/flex-layout url.


My guess it that it has to do with shadowDom polyfill from polymer.
Implementing the shadow dom in firefox would probably be the right thing to do.
