Public bug reported:
Ubuntu Release: 14.04.1 LTS
Enigmail version: 1.7-0ubuntu0.14.04.1
Thunderbird version: 31.0+build1-0ubuntu0.14.04.1
My Thunderbird/Enigmail setup was working perfectly well until the
recent update. Now, whenever I enter an IMAP inbox subfolder I can
navigate to the first message just fine, but as soon as I click another
message the CPU spikes to 100% and the UI freezes for a few minutes
before returning. However, as soon as I begin to click around again, I
get the same thing again. It's quite unusable. In addition, I seem to be
able to click around in messages within the inbox just fine without a
freeze, but as soon as I leave the message list pane to do something
else, I get a freeze. None of this behavior occurs if I disable the
Enigmail extension. I tried using a new Thunderbird profile, but that
didn't change anything. I'm not sure what kind of diagnostics would be
useful here, but I would be happy to provide.
