Does anyone know someone who is able to fix this problem? Zack maybe you
can put some text together to help a developer getting started on this.

Zack can you specify why you cannot fix this issue, if it is resources
maybe we can ask Ubuntu to step in. Otherwise if nobody here now's
someone able to fix it I will contact Ubuntu/Debian and Fedora to look
for someone who can.

It is really not nice to leave such an annoying bug open for so long.
