The codepath here was
presumably:nsHttpChannelAuthProvider::CheckForSuperfluousAuth ->
nsHttpChannelAuthProvider::ConfirmAuth ->
nsStringBundle::FormatStringFromName or its older equivalent.

It sounds like this can probably be WORKSFORME now, though.
