[Bug 1228906] [NEW] Lightning not available even though xul-ext-lightning is installed

Public bug reported:

After the update of Thunderbird and Lightning from version 17 to 24,
Thunderbird does not show anymore the calendar pane or tab. All the
calendar function that should be made available from Lightning are not
available even from the menus.

It seems that Thunderbird does not realize that the Lightning add-on is
available system-wide. The add-ons pane shows that no add-ons are
installed. In the previous versions system-wide add-ons were displayed
along the others installed by the user.
