Public bug reported:

The following document displays corrupt images in Firefox:

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html><body>
<img style="max-width: 300px" src="https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7427/8791626143_140724b5db_z.jpg" />
<img style="max-width: 300px" src="https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7427/8791626143_140724b5db_z.jpg" />
<img style="max-width: 300px" src="https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7427/8791626143_140724b5db_z.jpg" />
<img style="max-width: 300px" src="https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7427/8791626143_140724b5db_z.jpg" />
<img style="max-width: 300px" src="https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7427/8791626143_140724b5db_z.jpg" />
</body></html>

The problem is that one line of pixels is repeated for about 1-2cm then
another line cuts in for the same amount and so on. I can't grab the
screen as this immediately fixes the images, as does scrolling. I've
uploaded a photograph.

I'm reporting this as a bug in Firefox (rather than thinking that the images as faulty) because:
1) images will display correctly occasionally, after scrolling or ALT-TABing to another application and back,
2) images display correctly in other applications that I've tried (including image viewer and GIMP),
3) I have the same problem on two different computers and
4) the problem does not occur in Midori (a webkit-based browser)

If the document is reduced to a single image then it displays correctly.
The images render correctly in every other application that I've tried.
I have a few other examples if required.

Saving the images locally reduces the problem, sometimes one of the
images will display incorrectly (one line of pixels fills the image). So
there's a possibility that the amount of pixel-repeat is linked to the
download speed.

- Opening the image in GIMP and re-saving it fixes the problem. I'm not
- sure what was used to create this image (and others like it) but I'll
- try to find out and post here in case it helps.
