There's not really anything to be done here. The entries in the
Attachment pane are application-specific settings that are meant to
override desktop settings, and none of these are set by default (so
Thunderbird always uses your desktop settings). There is already an
option to delete entries from this settings pane, which restores
Thunderbird to the default
