1. I don't care in the slightest how it works on _your_ machine. 
2. Fact of the matter is that tabs are being opened. 
3. You are also ignoring the people in the link I provided. 
4. You have a ridiculous claim regarding me having to read the bug reporting guide lines
5. Apport is yet another broken Ubuntu program (See: https://bugs.launchpad.net/apport ) . I have hit several of those bugs in the past and consider whoever developed Apport to be lacking in software development skills and thus not worthy of my time. So, if you want me to use Apport to report bugs for Thunderbird -- meaning that you adopt it in your process -- _you_ are the one who needs to fix Apport too in addition of Thunderbird. That's _fine_ by me, but don't expect me to use even more crap. 
6. I hope your next response is going to show more intelligence, as you have shown zero now.
