tpehep, sorry we never got to this bug report. Ubuntu developers -- like
everyone else -- have limited time, so they try to focus on the worst
bugs affecting the most people.

Ubuntu 8.10 reached end-of-life on 30 April 2010, and 9.04 on 23 October
2010, so there will be no more bug fixes to either of them. If you have
a similar problem with a current version of Ubuntu, please report a
separate bug.
