It is low priority because it doesn't break an important piece of
functionality in anything we ship. Yes, it makes a third party addon not
work correctly but we've only had 2 bug reports for this in 1 year, so
it's not affecting many people at all.

I'm willing to accept a patch to fix it, but it's not something I'm
going to be spending any time on just yet.
