[Bug 946223] [NEW] after upgrade logged out and logged in. Then start firefox from the launcher and crash

Public bug reported:

it started with the lens. when searched for 'soft' the software centre
cannot be activated. The icon is highlighted however cannot activate.
then tried to opened firefox. open other application ( now firefox is
hidden.) click firefox on the launcher and it crashes.
