[Bug 732572] Re: New Mail Notification Sound does not play in Natty

I am affected by this bug.
But the sound plays if in the home folder. This made me think that it is a problem of white space in the path. Indeed may path was
~/Musique/Got mail
I also tried space in the file name. Thunderbird sound does not work. Otherwise it does.

Conclusion: Thunderbird new mail sound works if the complete path + file
name contains no space, and does not work otherwise.

Maybe a need for some more " " around path and file name somewhere in
the Thunderbird code?
