[Bug 1027376] [NEW] Website favicons not displayed after update to 14.0.1

Public bug reported:

After the recent update to Firefox 14.0.1 favicons are not diplayed
anymore, see screenshots. Some default icons for http (a sort of sphere)
and https (a locker) sites are shown instead.

Ubuntu 12.04 here.
