[Bug 355112] Re: Ask.com keeps being re-added to Firefox search bar after updates

This bug is still occuring for me, in oneric, with firefox 9.0.1. 
Is there a fix on the horizon? Should bug statuse be changed? Imo, this should be Affects firefox (ubuntu). The upstream bug is not relevant I think because they basically play the ball back to ubuntu as per comment https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=516361#c3
