[Bug 1043313] [NEW] [Quantal] [Regression] Unread messages indicator empty

After Precise => Quantal Alpha 3 upgrade, the messages indicator in the
top bar appears empty. It used to show unread Thunderbird mail and
Gwibber unread messages previously, now it's just empty with only the
"cleanup notifications" entry, which is greyed out anyway.
