[Bug 986180] [NEW] adobe flash says it installed but it will not run. We have deleted previous versions and reinstalled but still don't get any picture on u tube or other film downloads

This occurred when I did update manager while in Ubuntu 10.4.
We have tried all sort of suggestions but no use. We have even updated to Ubunto 11.10 but the problem has come with it.
Any ideas would be helpful
