Understood. But the symptom experienced at the time was 'no flash
plugin' reported by web browser.

Just looking at the times here in the logs, it looks like the dpkg install log showing time 10:35, but the flashplugin
.so file has modified date 10:50

Does the new system of having smaller .postinst files mean that the
process cannot complete in one single run?

Just a bit of awareness really ... is /usr/lib/flashplugin-
installer/install_plugin script triggered immediately or does it need a
reboot?
