Hello everybody,

I am using Ubuntu 10.04.4 LTS and the newest Firefox package
11.0+build1-0ubuntu0.10.04.2 available in the repositories. In order to
get readable fonts in Firefox, I disabled anti-aliasing by removing the
symlink 10-antialias.conf from/etc/fonts/conf.d.

After a while, I noticed that certain pages won't display correctly, for
example:

http://packages.debian.org/search?keywords=ekiga&searchon=names&suite=stable&section=all
http://www.dreamtheater.net/

My first thought was that the issue has got something to do with the
rendering of the page itself, because after pointing Firefox to one of
the URLs, only a blank page is being displayed, but the source code of
the page is viewable by typing Ctrl+U.

Re-enabling anti-aliasing by recreating the symlink 10-antialias.conf
and restarting Firefox fixes the issue (except that after that all fonts
look blurry).

I am not sure if the issue is caused by Firefox itself or by some
incompatibility with the underlying libraries which are used for font
rendering.

Best regards,

Borislav
