Note that I have hacked out the code in getaddrinfo.c that looks aside
to dnsproxyd, since the DNS proxy is not enabled in Android 2.3 or
earlier, according to
http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=15722 .

(see android_getaddrinfo_proxy() in the original code; I copied
