[Bug 841676] [NEW] No new mail notifications in the messaging indicator

Public bug reported:

Thunderbird 7.0 under Ubuntu 11.10 beta 1 AMD64.

When new mail arrives there is a popup notification shown but message
indicator does not change the color and no new mail information is
available when I click on it.
