firefox-3.0 3.6.17+build3+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.8.04.1 is available in the
hardy repositories and supports *.html, *.png, *.txt, *.ogg, *.ogv and
probably *.flac as well

*.ps support should probably be handled in evince.
