Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: firefox

On my T400 with 2GB of RAM / 7GB of swap, the current beta12 of firefox
takes easily up to 1 GB of RAM and swap combined; I have also observed
amounts of up to 1GB RAM _AND_ 4GB of Swap yesterday. The system (of
course) gets incredibly laggy because of somewhat silly I/O sizes, which
creates full HDD load at the rate of less than 1 MB/s of throughput. A
system load of 20/15/10 (2 cores) rapidly occurs. Moreover, mouse
movement gets choppy and mouse acceleration stops working, keyboard
inputs are barely accepted.
