Grazie Monkey, the upgrade problem is solved by running "Repairing Broken Packages" from recovery mode.
When I opened firefox flash objects didn't work, so I tried to reinstall flashplugin-nonfree and flashplugin-installer, the packages installed successfully but flash objects didn't work, I removed flashplugin-nonfree and flashplugin-installer completely and installed adobe-flashplugin instead and now flash objects works just fine.
