[Bug 811063] Re: Thunderbird hangs after upgrade

New information:  Thunderbird fails to work w/ LDAP users
1) Create a local user w/ a given UID, GID, and HOME_DIR, w/ contents from /etc/skel/: works
2) Delete local user
3) Create an LDAP user w/ same UID, GID, and HOME_DIR, w/ contents from /etc/skel/: DOES NOT WORK

NOTE: HOME_DIR is a local directory that is not NFS-mounted.

I have verified this on two separate hosts.

According to strace, Thunderbird hangs at: futex(0x7f2263802640,
FUTEX_WAIT_PRIVATE, 2, NULL

This includes the version 3.1.10+build1+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.11.04.2 as
included in the initial report, as well as the latest updated version
3.1.11+build2+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.11.04.1 that was released over the
weekend.
