[Bug 806516] [NEW] unable to watch streaming media / Firefox crashes with mozilla-plugin-VLC on videotar.mtv.hu

Hi,
videotar.mtv.hu has many video files in WMV format. These are arranged this way:
- first a 10-20 sec flacsh media commercial is played
- then the actual videclip is played, which is coded like this: "http://videotar.mtv.hu/Videok/2011/07/06/06/MTV_Hirado_2011_julius_6_5_55.aspx"
Actually the WMV files (i.e. http://streamer1.carnation.hu/mtvod2/hirado/2011/07/06/hirado5_110706.wmv) may be a text file, containing several alternative streaming server options.
1. mozilla-Totem pluging fails to play this streaming media. It either stops playing simply or gives this message "GstDecodeBin2: This appears to be a text file". The result is the same with rekonq and chromium browser 
2.  Firefox crashes completely with mozilla-plugin-VLC
3. Moonlight with MS codecs is not an option, it would be too slow on my computer
Actually the mozilla-Totem plugin works with Ubuntu, this problem is specifically with Kubuntu !!!
