Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: firefox

We're seeing more and more audio/video using the new HTML5 elements. It
is safe to assume that we'll get more and more advanced web-based
multimedia players. Many keyboards have special keys to control
multimedia. (Play, Pause, Stop, Next, Previous, volume up and down). It
should be possible to use these to control multimedia on a webpage.
Firefox currently doesn't support this, at least 3.6.13 in 10.04.

There are probably other common shortcuts that would be nice to have as
well. For instance, HTML5 supports a search-element. By pressing the
search button on your keyboard, a search field could be focused. A
search field on a webpage might be placed anywhere, so this might be
helpful, specially for those who have extra challenges when using a
computer.

For the same reasons, perhaps it would be sensible to make the menu
button browse the page between nav-elements? There might be others.
These shortcuts should be configurable using the traditional
configuration tools, if possible.

It would be very nice to have this implemented in 11.04, which uses
Firefox 4 by default.

** Affects: firefox (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
