[Bug 725619] [NEW] The Ubuntu start-page should be updated to follow a similar feel to the new Firefox start-page

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: firefox

The Ubuntu start-page (http://start.ubuntu.com) should be updated to be
similar to the new Firefox 4 start-page, as crafted in
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=627301 .

This should make Firefox feel more consistant across platforms/operating
systems.

Ofcourse, colours, icons and logos may (and should) be changed, since
this *is* the Ubuntu start-page, but the design should be closely
matching that of Firefox's new default.

Also, note to designers: since this will be used only on Ubuntu/Firefox,
cross browser (and OS) compatibility is not important. Also use of the
Ubuntu font (without the Google Font API) is recomended.

Lightweight XHTML, and CSS and SVG images, should be used to reduce
download/render time (since all are supported in Firefox 4).

Some JavaScript is used by the new start-page, it is recomended just to
rebrand (and optomise?) the Firefox 4 start-page. Also some inspiration
could be taken from https://github.com/RKelln/Ubuntu-Homepage for some
nice features.

** Affects: firefox (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New

** Description changed:
