[Bug 717673] [NEW] zip attachment: can open it but cannot save it

I received an email with a zip file attached.

In thunderbird, if I double click on the attachment and select to open
it with archive manager (default), I can open it and browse its
contents. So the attachment is fine.

But if I right-click and select "save as", it is saved as a 0-byte file.
It doesn't give any error messages: simply saves the file as a corrupted
0-byte file. It even takes a little time to save it (it's a 18 megabyte
file) and shows a progress bar while saving it, but then, the saved file
is 0 bytes in size and I cannot open or extract it.

This has happened only with one particular file so far.

It is even possible that the file I have been sent has some problem;
however, if I am able to open it without saving it, there's no reason I
shouldn't be able to save it. Also, if the file is corrupt or has any
issue, Thunderbird should definitely show an error message, not just
silently fail. So no matter whether the file I have received is corrupt
or not, thunderbird is not behaving properly.

Unfortunately I cannot attach the file in question. Let me know if there
is any log I can provide.
