Public bug reported:
It appears that a 32-bit plug-in is being installed on a 64-bit system.
On Xubuntu for amd64, firefox, emits many warnings:
$ firefox
Gtk-Message: Failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module"
Gtk-Message: Failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module"

-snip-
ps shows that /usr/lib/nspluginwrapper/i386/linux/npviewer.bin is
running. This file contains a 32-bit executable and comes from package
nspluginviewer:i386 . Presumably a 64-bit version should have been
supplied with this system.
