Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: thunderbird

When an add-on's homepage uses an invalid certificate the connection
fails with "Secure Connection Failed". There is no option to accept the
certificate, so no way to visit the homepage.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Install removedupes.mozdev.org
2. Click Tools->Add-ons->Remove Duplicates->Visit homepage

Expected:

a. A dialog to accept the security certificate
b. A dialog to attempt an insecure connection
c. Delegate all this to the web-browser
