Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: firefox-3.5

My computer is an Acer notebook, 5315 with an external US Robotics usb modem 5637
I use Gnome-ppp under Ubuntu 9.10 to make a connection.

Each time the dial-up routine has completed, and I start Firefox, I get a dialog box,
"Firefox is offline, and is not connected to the web" I go to the "file" tool bar,
drag down to work offline and uncheck the box and firefox makes the dial up connection to the web.

When I connect to the web with dsl through a router LAN. this never happens.
