Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: thunderbird

After upgrading to 10.04.1, I now have thunderbird 3.x instead of 2.x
and today I noticed that clicking on a link in an e-mail message in
thunderbird didn't open the link in my browser as expected.

in the thunderbird error console I noticed this line:
Error: uncaught exception: [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE) [nsIExternalProtocolService.loadUrl]" nsresult: "0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE)" location: "JS frame :: chrome://communicator/content/contentAreaClick.js :: openLinkExternally :: line 188" data: no]

I used to have a few lines in my prefs.js to open firefox for this, but
it seems this is ignored or fails in some way.

I have these lines:
user_pref("network.protocol-handler.app.http", "firefox");
user_pref("network.protocol-handler.app.https", "firefox");

I can't really tell whether this is a bug or something inadvertently I
caused myself by upgrading with these (old) settings.
