I don't like this.

If you ommit this sentence:

"There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the
bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates"

maybe i can accept it, this way it is not acceptable and it makes me
remember something else...

either you know the ground where you move or you are quickly moving in a
swamp. This is a serious bug, not important because almost nobody is
using enigmail, and package devs should have at least briefly tested it.
That is what keeps us buggers reporting bugs.
