[Bug 581336] [NEW] installing enigmail package does not install enigmail extension

Using:
Ubuntu 10.04 LTS - Lucid Lynx - AMD64
Thunderbird 3.0.4 (build type: Linux_x86_64-gcc3)
Enigmail 2:1.0.1-0ubuntu1

All of these packages are latest defaults for that release.

I installed enigmail using:
# aptitude install enigmail
...and it completed successfully, but there is no usable Enigmail extension in Thunderbird. I expected it would be there.

In case this may be relevant, I moved the data in my home folder,
including Thunderbird data from an installation of Ubuntu 8.04 LTS,
where Thunderbird had Enigmail installed.
