Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: firefox

In the Appearance Preferences -> Customize Theme -> Pointer dialog,
mouse pointers like DMZ (White) or DMZ (Black) allow the pointer size to
be specified. Lucid is ignoring the setting and always defaults to the
smallest size. I've confirmed that the mouse pointer size is getting
written to the '/desktop/gnome/peripherals/mouse/cursor_size' key in
gconf-editor correctly; it's just being ignored. Incidentally, Firefox
does display the correct pointer size when the mouse pointer is within
the bounds of its window. I've confirmed this on two systems, one with
an NVidia display and one with an ATI display, so I doubt it has
anything to do with display drivers. Also, one of the two systems is a
clean install of Lucid, and the other, an upgrade from Karmic.
