I would like to add that the crashes of Ubuntu 10.04 are not related to a high temperature of the computer.
Ubuntu 10.04 with the kernel 2.6.32-21 crashed on a cold computer just 1 minute after power-on a few minutes ago.

Ubuntu 9.10 with the kernel 2.6.31-21 crashed just 1 minute after the
power-on too.

Ubuntu 9.10 with the kernel 2.6.31-20 seems to be more stable.
