[Bug 572871] [NEW] Bug 1: Firefox wont access the internet even though connected

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: firefox

Ubuntu 10.4 new installation

This is the first of 3 bug reports all about a similar problem


Firefox wont connect, Opera does as does Chromium and Update manager

The ubuntu-bug package wont either.

It doesnt give any error other than the connection to say google times
out.

firefox 3.6.3 
ubuntu 10.4 amd64
