You're most likely experiencing bug 518422, so I'm going to change this
to be a bug about the debugger not working rather than marking as a
duplicate.  Bug 518422 should be fixed with an update to 3.6.2 which
will be released to Lucid soon.  Also, running Firefox as root causes a
lot of headaches and is not suggested.
