[Bug 546490] [NEW] Unable to start Firefox 3.6 after updating the system

After last software update, including new linux kernel, It is not possible to start firefox in the usual way.
Launching Firefox in debug mode (-g option), this following error is displayed:
"/usr/lib/firefox-3.6/firefox": not in executable format: File format not recognized

However, it is possible to launch firefox issuing the command gksu -u
root firefox %u in terminal.

Trying to remove and reinstalling does not solve the problem.
