  I just had the following problem with 3.0.4~hg20100305r4754+nobinonly-
  0ubuntu2~umd3 . I had unstable network due to a bug in lucid and was
  typing an email for my gmail account. Then Thunderbird wanted to save
- the file to Drafts but couldn't because network was temporarily down.

  This seemed to confuse Thunderbird and once the connection was back it
